HUNDREDS of people gathered to pay tribute to the sacrifices of British servicemen and women at a Remembrance Sunday service in Halesowen.
Halesowen MP Alex Ballinger, who served eight years with the Royal Marines, twice deploying to Afghanistan, said: "It was an honour to join the Deputy Lord Lieutenant and veterans at St John's Church for a moving Remembrance Parade and Service.Veterans, military personnel, cadets, firefighters, guides and scouts joined the procession through the town centre to St John's Church, with music provided by the Halesowen Scout Band.There was also a Remembrance Service at Shell Corner in Halesowen on the evening of November 8 with around 150 people in attendance.It was organised by Halesowen North councillor Stuart Henley.
